About BaqīyatAllāh Institution

BaqīyatAllāh Institution is a Shi’i Muslim organisation committed to preparing for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (aj) through acts of charity and community service. Among our key initiatives is the establishment of an Islamic center in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This center supports the city’s small but growing Shi’i population, offering a hub for religious education, spiritual growth, and community solidarity.

As Muslims, we are reminded of our duty to build and strengthen communities for the sake of Allah. The Qur’an emphasizes the importance of helping others and working for the collective good:

“And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.” (Surah Al-Ma’idah, 5:2)

“Indeed, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d, 13:11)

Our Work

Our work in Indonesia and beyond reflects the principle that global unity starts within the hearts of individuals, driven by sincere intentions and the desire to fulfill our collective duty to spread dawah and support the ummah worldwide

“The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last
Day, establish prayer, give zakah, and fear none but Allah. It is they who are expected to be on
true guidance.” (Surah At-Tawbah, 9:18)
